In continuation to our previous successes, Logistics for Healthcare Improvement (LHI) is glad to bring you the institute for healthcare improvement (IHI), the leading healthcare quality guru for the first time in Egypt in its 6th annual healthcare quality & accreditation symposium in Cairo from 14 to 16 of December 2016. in the previous 5 events done in Jeddah, Cairo, Dubai and Alexandria LHIĀ managed to offer the national & international healthcare quality society the chance to add to what the healthcare quality gurus and researchers had to share about the latest advancements and their impact on our healthcare systems and daily lives.

We plan to continue this approach this year through bringing together the best experts in the field for some round table discussions on the direction and flow of healthcare quality & patient safety for the nation and the world in the next decade.

The event will be sponsored by the Egyptian Ministry of Defense with participation from all recognised international healthcare quality pioneer organisations. The event will be conducted in the International Medical Center, leading organisation in healthcare quality & performance improvement which managed to crown its excellence philosophy with JCI accreditation in 2016 in collaborative efforts with LHI.

Program Description

Like most successful improvement, the most effective learning is collaborative. In this three days event, participants will work closely with a group of like-minded colleagues, who share similar challenges and goals. Participants will gain the confidence to apply basic Improvement tools and work effectively with improvement teams within their home organizations.

Program Objectives

At the conclusion of the Science of Improvement Workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the basic components of the improvement philosophy of Dr. W. Edwards Deming
  • Use the Model for Improvement as a framework for quality improvement projects in their organization
  • Differentiate between testing, implementing, and spreading changes
  • Recognize the use of data for improvement from its use for research and public accountability
  • Understand variation conceptually and statistically
  • Develop and interpret run charts and control charts
  • Identify fundamental methods to manage teams effectively
